preacher's wife?.... one day

I knew when I married Daniel that I was marrying a man whom God had called into the ministry. At the time, we didn't know what area of ministry though. He is currently the minister of youth and recreation at our church. He is fantastic at what he does. He has had many opportunities to preach at our church and many other churches as well. Those who have heard him preach clearly can tell.... I married a preacher. A very good one I might add. God only knows the future, but I believe I will be a preacher's wife before I die. I know there are other great preachers out there, but D's the best. God has given him the gift to boldly proclaim His word in a way that captivates you. God's presence is evident. He preached a revival yesterday at a local church. As I sat there listening to him, I couldn't help but thank the Lord for creating him for me. I love being his wife. I am blessed to be married to a man that unashamedly preaches the word of God. He lives what he preaches. I truly am blessed beyond measure.

baby Hallie!

Hallie Claire graced us with her presence Wednesday night at 8:04p.m. She weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz. (which I guessed perfectly in our waiting room 'guess hallie's weight' game) She definitely didn't disappoint. She came out looking just like her adorable sisters. We are so blessed to have such a great relationship with not only Julie and Jeff, but with Maggie, Lily, and now Hallie. We love getting to be apart of their lives. It's great being the aunt and uncle. We can spend lots of time with them and spoil them.... then when they get cranky we can give them back. :) Just kidding, Jules.... well partially. We do love us some Foreman girls though!

baby Hallie?

My sister in law, Julie, is expecting her 3rd little girl. I just got word that she went to the hospital and will most likely be admitted. So.... will today be Hallie's birthday? We shall see!

puddin'

My kids were in line to get some water. I watched as a little boy almost pushed a little girl down and said, "Get out of my way!" He then looked up and saw that I was watching him and said, "I mean.... puddin'."

sweet innocence

I want to start off by saying that I really have a great class this year. A very fun class.... there will never be a dull moment. While on the playground, one of my little boys (C) came up to me saying, "M said a bad word!" M comes over to me with the look of pure fear on her face and proceeds to inform me that she will never say it again. I said, "M, what did you say?" C jumps in before M can mutter a word and tells me that M said, "You betta get yo butt over here before I wear you out!" Yes, it was said just like that with more attitude than you can imagine.

ready or not

Tomorrow begins my first day with my 11 new K4-ers. I have met most of them and am thrilled to think about the fun year we will have. Have I ever mentioned how much I love my job? I love the other teachers I work with as well so going to school everyday is a lot of fun.

I'm pretty sure I have everything ready to jump start us into this new school year. (silly songs, games, stories, curriculum, worksheets, etc.) However, a new school year means: new faces, new whines, new tattles, reviewing rules and procedures a million times, new lunch schedules, new enrichment schedules.... but most importantly new opportunities to teach these little ones not only how to read, but how much Jesus loves them. Ready or not here we go!

and so we come to the end...

This past week we had our annual Jerkins lake trip to Heber Springs. This means 15 people in one nice house, 3 dinners in, 3 dinners out, procrastinating about what to do for the day, hours in the boat, ice cream at the marina, sunburns, late night games of dominoes, early morning wake-up calls from the little ones, a girls day in to town for shopping and lunch at the tea room, and lots of sweet memories. This is a week we always look forward to. This week was a little different than years past due to me being in a huge sling (which meant no skiing or wakeboarding) and d spent a good bit of the week sick. Even with the set backs, it was a great week with family!

This was also my last week of freedom. In-service for me begins on Monday. Summer is officially over. I love my job, but I am always sad to see summer go....especially when I spent most of it on the couch with a sling on my arm. Well, as school begins that means more funny, frequent blog posts about my day at school. I was very blessed to have an excellent group of students last year. I'm a bit scared that my class this year will be quite the opposite. What are the chances of me having 2 excellent groups in a row?! We shall see. I should get my class roster Monday and should know at least a few of the ones moving from K3 to K4. So... goodbye summer. It's been fun.
