1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus."

D challenged us last Sunday with this verse. We have choices every day. One of the biggest daily choices we face is how will we live our life... as a worrier or someone who is joyful always?

I don't know about you but people who worry about everything are no fun to be around... at least not for long periods of time. But how refreshing to be around someone who is always joyful. You thoroughly enjoy time around those people. They make every day regardless of the circumstance better.

D gave us 3 points on how as Christians we should live our lives.

1. Choose to rejoice... no matter the circumstances.

2. Choose to pray... no matter the circumstances.

3. Choose to thank God... no matter the circumstances.

The happiest people on earth aren't the ones with the most money, but the ones that are thankful. Contentment is a result of thankfulness.

So today we can choose to worry or we can choose to rejoice, pray and be thankful to God for all that He's done, doing and will continue to do. Even if you're going through a very difficult time... you can rest assure he's able to take care of it and is using the situation for your good. I don't know about you, but I don't want to forfeit God's peace and guidance b/c of my pride and choice to "try" to control things on my own... which just leads to worry...(which inevitably is sin) and ultimately a miserable life that we weren't intended to live. Give it up.

Philippians 4:6-7 "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."

The result of giving up worrying... peace.

Rejoice. Pray. Thank God
