This week has been an emotional roller coaster! My grandfather, who is 82, has had 2 strokes and possibly a heart attack. The first stroke happened Wednesday or Thursday of last week and once they discovered that he was slurring his speech and couldn't walk straight, they decided to take him on in to the hospital. Well, being the stubborn man that he is he wanted to first eat his dinner. :) Needless to say we assumed it was nothing too serious.
They kept him over night and ran tests. Since then he has declined. They have moved him to the hospice floor to keep him comfortable. He is very close to seeing Jesus. This is clearly a very difficult time for our family but a rejoicing one too because we know in a matter of hours or days he will be completely healed, whole, and with our Creator.
As I am typing this, mom called and his breathing has slowed as well as his heart rate so we're all headed to the hospital. Please pray for us!

ReplyDeleteI can all too clearly remember our emotional roller coaster during Papas last few days. Going through that isn't something id wish in anyone, but I KNOW that we serve a God who is able to carry u through and bring peace in the midst of turmoil and uncertainty. Praying that His peace will cover u today.
ReplyDeletepraying right now. I'm so sorry.
