I'm proud to admit that last night I ate a pronto pup and a fried twinkie and they were worth the whole trip to the fair! The pig and ostrich races were quite disappointing, but the food and $1 sweet tea were fantastic. If you can't decide if it's worth.... it is!
What's funny is everyone up north here hasn't heard of pronto pups....they just call them corn dogs. We have gotten some strange looks when we say pronto pup. I guess it's just a southern or Memphis thing. I have never had a fried twinkie....but you don't see those here either.
